The Sinister Creation of Art

Almost everyone has an innocent desire to create art. Small children start drawing at 2-3 years old, just little stick figures, rainbows, or animals. Busy adults, who can’t commit a lot of time, go and sing Karaoke just to hear their own voice recreate the sounds of the original song, with their own little personalization. Whether the medium is durable or ephemeral doesn’t matter. Most people have this desire.

But, some people, some of the time, have this burning desire in them to create something more. They’re searching for the ability, talent, blessing, or one might say, avatar-like power from God, to bring something new into this world. It’s something akin to having and raising children. Art is something that evolves and takes on it’s own life, affects other people’s lives. Makes them love, and hate, dance uncontrollably, or cry. Creating this kind of art is a sinister process which requiresa kind of ego.

We’ve all been friends with artists and been annoyed by their egos! 😉

It’s not evil, but it requires dedication like the antagonist in any story. One has to dedicate themselves to practicing their medium, be it a guitar, the pen, the canvas, or even their own singing voice. They must scheme, letting the art seeth through them. They must day dream, like a Bond villain, and share their sinister plans with friends and enemies alike. They must truly believe they have the ability to change the world and do something new.

Some people have it…and some people don’t!

To create is innocent, to create art is sinister.
